Polaroid Confirms Android-powered Camera is coming at CES 2013

Polaroid, an international consumer electronics and instant photo film company, is going to launch a compact system Android-powered camera at CES 2013. Polaroid CEO Scott Hardy has confirmed about the release of this Camera. The new camera will enlist with the other android running Cameras lineup, such as Samsung Galaxy Camera which is powered by Android Jelly Bean. Hopefully, Polaroid will be capable to not only introduce an android camera, but also capable to catch the market.

Just a day ago, Rumors about the upcoming Polaroid interchangeable lens android camera came on several tech sites. As per latest rumor, the camera will be named the IM1836 and will be made for Polaroid by Sakar International, Inc.

The coming Polaroid Android-based camera will supposedly contain an 18.1-Megapixel sensor, 3.5-inch touch featured display, 10-30mm lens, HDMI output, pop-up flash and Wi-Fi connectivity system. The camera will run by Android 4.0. Further details and specifications will be available throughout the CES event.

CES is just some weeks away (from 5th to11th January of 2013), so we’ll shortly find how Polaroid is resolving to introduce a fresh concept. As the company has a hard time for the end of instant camera age.
