Barnes & Noble drops Nook Simple Touch price to $79

Want to purchase a reasonable e-reader for this holiday? Barnes & Noble has declared that the cost of the NOOK Simple Touch has reduced from $99 to $79. Nook Simple Touch released in June 2011 and still can perform excellently by beat well against the without touch featured Amazon Kindle e-reader.

The Nook Simple Touch is prepared with a 6-inch touchscreen with 800X600 pixels resolution, 16-levels of grayscale tones, 2GB of built-in memory capacity. Users also can add a microSD card to enlarge for additional storage up to 32GB. The e-reader can support PDF, ePub, JPG, GIF, PNG and BMP files. Barnes & Noble says that the e-reader can present quicker page turns by 25% than others e-readers.

Barnes & Noble has already introduced its next version Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight for $119, which appears as a pricey device. If you are interested for the backlight option, then you have to pay $119 for NOOK Simple Touch with Glowlight.
